Silikal R61 industrial floor as part of maintenance shop expansion. Construction could continue on top of our finished floor, unprotected, 1 hour after completion. Wheeled traffic, no problem, 1 hour after completion.

SureBond installed Safety Yellow Lines with phosphorescent flake. This provides a measure of safety during a power black out at this remote northern BC location.

The safety yellow lines are permanently bonded to the Silikal(r) floor. There has been ZERO re-painting of the lines as of 2025, 12 years after original work was complete.

The Silikal R61 anti slip floor provides anti slip near ledges in this locomotive repair shop.

Flooring work safely occurred at 3 levels, on both sides of each locomotive station.

Safety is critical for all railroad work. SureBond staff are all eRailSafe, as well as COR(r) ACSA Alberta.

Finished true, industrial, anti slip floor on all locomotive platforms.

Clean and cleanable maintenance areas, with a light reflective floor provides a great work environment for maintenance trades.

SureBond would typically receive a floor area for 2 days. 1 day for prep. 1 day for floor installation. Returned to full service when we left the maintenance shop each day.

View of the completed expansion section of the maintenance shop in 2013.

This is our floor after 8 full years of service. No peeling of lines. Anti slip. CN staff love the performance. No call backs for any warranty issues even on oily slabs that were 30 years of age.

Walkway floor at 8 years of age. No peeling. No slips and falls. SureBond also installed the anti slip floor on sloped walkways. Slopes and oil worsen slip conditions.

Floor at 8 years. Still cleanable. Repairable forever, unlike epoxies and urethane cement materials. As at 12 years of age, there are no requests for us to come back and repair any floors, even the floors that were 30 years of age before we installed our floors on them.

Silikal floor at 8 years of age. This section was installed on aluminum checker plate, as it is a bridge between platforms. No failure, even after much wear and tear exposure.

Stairs get much abuse. The stairs shown are at 8 years of age. The concrete was 30 years of age, with much oil exposure. Since installation of our floor, there has been much wheeled abuse rolling heavy items up / down these stairs. A few chips, but no peeling of our work. No maintenance required.

8 year old maintenance shop, installed on 30 year old concrete. Permanent lines are permanently in-service. Repairable, if ever required.

Locomotive wash area. We installed our floors on 30 year old, VERY dirty, oily slab. We had 2 days to do the work. This is a picture of the wash bay after 8 years of service, with strong cleaning chemicals and water used to wash the dirty locomotives when they come in.

Another view of the locomotive wash bay after 8 years of service. No call backs. No slips and falls. No maintenance required.

Wash bay stairs after 8 years. Permanent lines not damaged. Still anti slip. Continuous water and harsh chemicals exposure, and our work stands as permanent as of 2025, 12 years later.

Another view of the same Silikal R61 stairs in the washbay, which is the toughest environment in the maintenance shop.

SureBond installation near the doorways get exposure to -30C in winter time when the door opens, and slab temperatures of +40C in the summer time. Much thermal and mechanical abuse, salt exposure. No problem.

Lower maintenance bay after 8 years of service. Cleanable, and a great work environment for the mechanical and electrical trades.

Main personnel aisle way at 8 years. Permanent lines have no areas of peeling. The floor is intact. Even where tools hit our floor and cause divots into the concrete, there is no evidence of those holes starting any peeling of the floor around the divots.
