Checking in with the Colony in 2025, and they are very happy with the floors we installed safely in a live operating environment. Improve your bio-security of your building with a flooring system that you can easily sanitize even with harsh sanitation chemicals.
SureBond carefully scheduled all of our work so as to not impact the egg gathering process at Greenwood Hutterite Colony.
Floors were done in sections, and returned to immediate service. The Colony Egg Boss let us know how much time we had, and we completed each work section on-time, so as to not impact their process.
The egg cooler was scheduled as well to coincide with low inventory and on a day with minimum inventory. Immediate return to service...as soon as the floor was completed.
Heavy loads and pallet jack cycles are not a problem for our new Silikal R61 floor. This was a renovation that had to be carefully timed and installed at a lower slab temperature.
Equipment was moved. Floor prep and floor laying performed in a sanitary, no-dust fashion.
Easy to clean, no-scrub floor, medium anti slip floor.
Integral coving was installed after each floor section was completed. Curved cove, professionally installed, and permanently bonded to walls made of PVC or insulated metal panels.
Water will never get underneath our cove or behind the cove as well. SureBond now can permanently eliminate caulking of floor-schluter joints using Silikal resins as well.
All floor penetrations are at-risk of floor failure. Pallet jacks travelling over drains can causes these failures, resulting in water and organics going underneath the floor. Unsanitary conditions can arise. SureBond has a special process to ensure our floors never peel around drains.
No peeling, even with heavy power jacks, when asked after 9 years of service...so far1
Equipment moved out. Equipment moved back within 30 to 45 minutes after the floor section was completed.
Greenwood's egg gathering facility looks more like a surgical facility than a farm processing operation.
Main hallway entry into the egg gathering facility is a welcome for government inspectors and food safety auditors.
This SureBond Silikal floors should easily be in-service, with maintenance, for 30 to 40 years. Why? It will never peel, due to our surface preparation technique. Then, any repairs are likely only an overlay for small sections of floor. A true building life-cycle floor solution
Office areas are easy clean and sanitize, too. Do not be scared to use bleach on our floors to kill any viral concerns.
Silikal MMA resins have a ultra low risk of "taint". We always ventilate during / after our application. The resin is fully cured within 1 hour maximum after the last coat of resin.
SureBond performed taint tests for several clients in 2007 - 2008 ago. Even with canola oil, open potato chips and milk in plastic containers, there was no taint found. We know of facilities that have had to landfill there product due to urethane isocyanate taint of raw meat / finished meat products. SureBond is confident when we perform our work that your food is safe and has no off-taste/
Drop eggs on our floor, and it is an easy clean.... unlike dried eggs on other surfaces!
The estimated Total Cost of Ownership over 20 years is likely 0% to 2% of the original cost.
Over 20 years, there would be 2 or 3 epoxy floors that would have been installed in that time, with full demolition and disruption for curing time. And, there is a risk of product taint as well.
